How many years have you been in business in NYC?
Since 2006 (on my own); practicing since 1998.
How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?
Children inspire me. Forming relationships with children, getting to know them and playing with them, speaking with their families and understanding the family needs makes me very happy and satisfied.
What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?
I try my best to treat every child and family individually and get to know them and establish a relationship even before I take care of their oral health. My entire team does the same. I place a strong emphasis on nutrition and prevention.
What do you feel gives you longevity in this big city with so many options?
The individual care I provide to all children and their families, as well as, combining the science and art of oral health care. I strive to integrate all new technologies and principles of pediatric dentistry with the warmest and most conservative approach.
How do you positively impact your clientele?
I educate the children and families and am honest with them. I tailor the needs of each individual child and support their families along the way both as their dental provider and as a friend.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Seeing the children smile. The feeling I get when I am able to change a child and their families' dental experience for a positive one triumphs over anything else.
What is your favorite secret NYC spot?
Si café… so sad it has closed. I am Italian… I LOVE my cappuccino.
How do you benefit mamas?
I am here for each and every mother. To help guide their children to optimal overall health and to be a friend to them. I am here to answer questions and to provide any guidance that might be needed.
What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?
“You and your team are amazing. My children LOVE coming to the dentist! We are so happy here!” The best is when a child leaves my office with a big smile on his or her face, gives me a huge hug and kiss after we have just finished a procedure. That is most memorable.
Pay it forward and name your top colleagues in the same field or related field:
All my colleagues bring their expertise and uniqueness to the field. I feel that many of them are “top” in their own way.
What is the best advice anyone's ever given you? Or what is your "mantra" / words to live by?
Have fun and enjoy your work. Do it with all your heart and you will feel happy.
As moms, the day can escape us, what is your best time-saving trick?
Prioritize. Great support system. SMILE!
