What is the best part of being a working mom and most challenging part of juggling two full-time jobs?
Best: I have a full life.
Challenging: my schedule is a complex organism
How do you carve out “me” time? And how do you like to spend this time?
I schedule lunches with colleagues and friends at San Ambroeus in Soho, I really hate to eat at my desk and it helps me stay connected to my New York friends.
What was your most memorable family vacation to date? Where did you go? And what made it special for your family?
My husband is from Colombia and we go there for Christmas to visit his family. For the children, it is a magical land with giant lizards, coconut trees and wild parrots.
What classes in NYC do your kids most enjoy?
Beatrice takes ballet at Joffrey in the village and Nicolas enjoys karate. Both of them love ice skating at Chelsea Piers.
What are your favorite kids clothing shops in NYC ? And, when you travel abroad, do you have any secret kids clothing shops you can share with us?
Los Encajaeros and Coqueta in Spain. Flora and Henri was great but sadly both my children have outgrown them. Gap Kids is one of my favorites. Being surrounded by so much ‘fashion,’ I tend to dress my children in traditional clothes and I avoid anything trendy.
What are your favorite children's books?
Nicolas laughs out loud to the Book With No Words, by BJ Novak. The This is Venice, New York, Paris et. al. are favorites of the whole family.
