Name:

Michael Babinski

How your clients refer to you:

Mike

Company:

Babinski Farm LLC

Contact info:

ph. (631) 875-0262 Mike or email: Babinski Farm@optonline.net

How many years have you been in business in NYC?

I have been a farmer from a young age. Took time away from farming for 20 years to serve as a Southampton Police offier. Returned to farming after 20 years as a cop

How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?

I was born into it

What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?

Along with local produce and home baked goods, we also offer local seafood and grass fed meats. We could be considered a one-stop shop. We also do special orders and try to cater to our customers needs.

How do you positively impact your clientele?

By catering to their individual needs and super serving the customer

What is your favorite part of your job?

Getting to know our customers

How do you benefit mamas?

Mothers love the fact that we are a farmstand where they can get more than just produce. Their children love looking at the chickens, playing in the lawn with Tessa our dog, or just roaming around the fields looking at the flowers and seeing the stages of the plants as they grow.

What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?

One or two customers have told us we are “life changing” .. meaning that they can get everything they need to make a healthy meal for their family without going to several shops. That was a pretty flattering statement. To know they can get high quality food all in one place gives them more quality time to spend doing things they love.

Pay it forward and name your top colleagues in the same field or related field:

Bill & Lisa’s (Wainscott), Crowley’s Farm Stand (Sagg Main Street), Briermere’s (North Fork).

What is the best advice anyone has ever given you? Or what is your mantra / words to live by?

KISS – Keep It Simple Stupid. Hahaha
