So when my favorite caterer in the Hamptons decides to expand to NYC, I get excited! Hamptons Aristocrat has been synonymous with the best farm to table food and presentation out east for many years. They source from all local, organic, fresh farms and create seasonal menus with something for everyone. I always miss those fresh, local meals I have all summer, and now we don’t have to because not only will they cater and staff anywhere in NYC, but they’ve opened a beautiful new space in Brooklyn, called Heritage Aristocrat, to host both personal and corporate events in an environment that feels very industrial chic, surrounded by artist’s studios and factories. Female founders, Lexi and Louisa, can also cater children’s parties as well as drop-off catering to offices for a more casual experience. They come very highly recommended.... by ME!
How many years have you been in business in NYC?
We have been in the Hamptons for 6 years. We launched in NYC in September 2019!
How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?
We created Hamptons Aristocrat as a solution to all our clients' entertaining needs, simultaneously supporting our small local farming community + connecting our clients to that through food. When Lexi + Louisa launched Hamptons Aristocrat their goal was to create a farm-focused food concierge service offering their clients last minute Private Chefs Dinners, Drop-Off Catering + Full Service events & planning. After 5 successful seasons we decided to go back to our roots + open in NYC! Our NYC division, named Heritage Aristocrat, offers full service + drop off corporate catering, private chef events, full service events + brand experiences.
What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?
We set out to really re-define the catering industry. “Catering” just has a bad stigma to it, it’s almost as if someone along time ago said it was “ok” to have mediocre food for large groups, but we disagree, wholeheartedly. Our Private Chef approach to every event (even our large events) allows us to place higher level chefs with years of training and with the confidence and the ability to execute events seamlessly. These Chefs work alone or in teams executing our local + seasonally inspired dishes. We are so proud to be able to offer such a refined approach to intimate + large scale dining.
What do you feel gives you longevity in this big city with so many options?
Offering consistent + dependable services with ease has been our m.o.! Our clients can call us with a days notice and trust that we will put together an amazing event + dinner! We also offer really reasonable + simple pricing, all our pricing is listed on our website which allows busy clients to pick + select menus on their own!
How do you positively impact your clientele?
Food is truly about spending time with loved ones + nourishing yourself, it is so important to connect with your family (and friends) over food + we just make it easy for our clients to do so! Whether they are dining as a family and have one of our Domestic Chef’s onsite (a chef membership program designed for in-home personal chef services) or if they are celebrating a milestone, our clients trust that we will provide them an incredible value + stress-free!
What is your favorite part of your job?
Eating… and out clients. We are so grateful to our clients, ones who order from us weekly, ones who trust us with their children’s weddings, the ones who pop in to our locations to say hello!
What is your favorite secret NYC spot?
Are there any more secret spots?! Ha, I guess the most secrete places we have dined are Bohemia, sushi seki… I think we stick to the classics, Breslin is on our go-to list, Blue Ribbon, Sadelle’s is really fun for team meetings!
How do you benefit mamas?
Not only to we offer amazing kid’s menus composed of organic + locally grown produce but we make it easy! And kid’s birthday parties are one of our favorite events to cater! We do really fun spins on kid-friendly items!
What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?
An email from the client after catering their wedding is always the most magical. We get so close to our clients (we help with every single aspect of the event, we call it “concept execution”) and make sure to make their dreams come true. It is always bitter-sweet when and event has come and gone, we miss the daily interactions with our clients who we grow to really care about! Those are my favorite!
We also love the one liners (which are very common!) “food was incredible” “cant stop talking about how good the food was” “cant wait to use you again” those little notes, although brief stay with us for days!
