How many years have you been in business in LA?
5 years.
How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?
When I turned 30, my husband and I closed the handbag line we had and I found myself at a crossroads. Should I stay in fashion even though it wasn’t making me happy anymore, or should I change direction? So, I decided to go work in a restaurant because I had always had a love for food and entertaining. Next, I started a food blog, and a few months later I had a catering company and gifting company. It all happened so fast but in such an organic way.
What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?
We are really building Valleybrink Road out as a lifestyle brand, rather than a company that just does one thing, like selling gift boxes. We make gift boxes, custom gifts, and flower arrangements, as well as offering floral design services. In addition to this, we share our recipes, entertaining tips, and lifestyle on our site as well.
What do you feel gives you longevity in this big city with so many options?
Customer service and attention to detail. We truly love what we do and take pride in each and every gift or flower arrangement we create for our clients.
How do you positively impact your clientele?
Our ultimate goal is to brighten someone’s day. If we have been able to do this with our services, then we have succeeded.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Hearing that someone LOVED their gift. Our client is happy, the recipient is happy, and we are over the moon!
What is your favorite secret LA spot?
Season Day Spa in Atwater Village. Thai Massage. Go see Mickey!
How do you benefit mamas?
I try to share my love of cooking with my son, Costa, with the other mamas who are following along on our journey. You don’t have to be a chef to get in the kitchen with your little one. I hope I can encourage other women to get in there and make a smoothie or some banana bread with their kids!
What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?
When a client tells you they are so grateful for you and all the love and attention you put into the gifts you make for them, your heart pretty much explodes!

What is the best advice anyone's ever given you? Or what is your "mantra" / words to live by?
Failure is part of the journey… so try, try, try again.
As moms, the day can escape us, what is your best time-saving trick?
Freeze your extra pancakes. Makes weekday breakfasts a breeze.
