Recently, I had a friend call from California with what she thought was a groundbreaking product discovery. When she told me what this quantum leap was, I immediately felt my confused expression lines getting deeper. After explaining to her how this product was already one of my top 10 must-haves, and a staple in my beauty cabinet, I realized that in my journey to enlighten and brighten, to inform everyone on all things beauty, that I may have overlooked one of my favorite products, assuming it was already well-known.

I go for facials regularly, and typically it’s Biologique Recherche. However, I am always open to finding new methods to further tone my face, and give me a healthy glow. It seemed like everywhere I went, people were talking about Face Love, and how this woman re-sculpts your face with just her hands. She was so popular, it was difficult to get an appointment, but I finally found her in the new space she took at Stretch’d. The vibe is incredibly zen and relaxing, and when Rachel Lang’s hands touch your face, you can feel the magic happen. She uses her hands and tools to circulate the blood in your skin and stimulate collagen. It was like facial exercise, and it worked! My face felt instantly lifted, and even my husband noticed and complimented my fresh, rosy skin.

Describe yourself in 4 words…
Loving, loyal, dedicated, compassionate.
Tell us the story of how you launched The Line.
A childhood friend of mine was interested in developing a concept in the fashion and retail space and brought me on to conceptualize it. The idea actually started at the brand level and The Line was intended to be a launching pad for these new brands. We wanted to create a home of warmth, intimacy and discovery where we could easily introduce new concepts. It can take time for new brands to garner attention or attract an audience and by surrounding them in this world of familiarity there was an immediate traction.
How do your children inspire you in your business?
As a child and an adult, I have been so inspired by my mother. She is incredibly hard working and passionate about what she does and I am grateful to have had such a strong powerful woman and mother to look up to. I have been lucky to have known what my passion was from a young age, to pursue that passion and to love what I do. I hope to set that example of hard work and dedication for my children, as my mother did for me. My children inspire me to be the best version of myself. I hope that I may set the same example for them that my mother did for me.
How do you carve out time for yourself in the week while juggling your family and work schedule?
I think any mother will tell you that as soon as you have children, your needs suddenly come last. I always try to be home for the boys’ dinner and bedtime, but I try to squeeze in regular workouts with my trainer and lunches with friends to maintain my sanity! Once the children are sleeping, my husband and I get to have our date nights and some quality time, which is also essential.
Who are your favorite emerging designers right now?
KHAITE and Brock Collection. Both happen to be brands that I work with and adore :)
How do you select the brands that you invest in?
I look for brands that have staying power and growth potential, who are developing new concepts in interesting categories and filling a gap in the market. I do not look for trend driven brands or anything too "of the moment."
The Apartment by The Line was such a creative, innovative concept for fashion, what inspired you to open? How do you find the brands you carry in the store?
The concept for The Line was to bridge the gap between online and offline so establishing a brick and mortar space from the time of launch was instantly very important to us. I wanted to create a space where we could really tell a story and show products as they are intended to be seen and used in the context of someone’s life and home. It became clear that the only way for this to truly feel authentic was if we were to literally build out the store in a home setting. I will never forget when I arrived at the store on the evening of our launch party, the elevator doors opened and I did a double take as I thought I was accidentally walking into someone’s apartment; it was at that moment that I knew we had truly created something special and unique.
You clearly have a great eye, what have been your favorite childrens' clothing designers since becoming a Mama?
I have to say I didn’t think that I would have this much fun dressing boys! I am very traditional in my taste when it comes to children’s clothes and I love the boy’s clothes from Marie Chantal, Il Gufo and Bonpoint. The Tot also has a wonderful assortment of clothes and goodies with a wide range of styles.
What is your favorite family vacation destination?
We escape to the Hamptons on the weekends and it is such a special place for us where we can really unwind, relax and have quality time as a family. We also love to visit my family in California and my husband’s family in Europe so the boys can have time with their grandparents and extended family.
What values do you hope to instill in your children?
I hope they will be kind, compassionate, curious, empathetic, passionate, driven, open, loving… I could go on and on!
A Pencil to Help You Achieve That Perfect Brow
In the 90s, thin structured eyebrows were in style, picture Drew Barrymore and Kate moss. Of course, I had to be right there on trend with them, so one day, I gave it a shot with my tweezers. Curiously, my eyebrows never grew back as full. I always consider this to be a blessing, I never have a single stray that needs to be plucked and nothing is ever out of place. This was all fine and well until now, as it seems we are in the era of the eyebrow. Now every time I find myself with an esthetician, they recommend I grow my brows in so they can reshape them for me. (Insert irritated glare here.) this is almost always followed up with “don’t worry they look good,” except for that one time when a lovely eyebrow gentleman voluntarily told me that my brows made me look a little cross eyes. Thanks for that buddy.
I must admit that the thought of two patches of hair placed in center of one's face weirds me out sometimes, especially if I stare at them long enough. Then again, I’ve seen pictures of people with no brows, and I'm pretty sure that's not for me.
I know that eyebrows are functional, and that we benefit from that functionality, but that’s not what I wish to discuss, I’m into the superficial here. I’ve finally started testing my hand at this "bigger is better" trend happening north of the eyeball, and I have to admit, it has taken me time, patience, and a better understanding, for me to get it right. For me, this means NOT looking like Bert from "Sesame Street," with all due respect to ya Bert.

We all know I’m a total exercise addict, but because of this addiction, my body needs some extra TLC. I work out for 2 hours most days at Tracy Anderson, and the heavy impact is hard on my legs and feet. Most times I have a physical therapist friend who helps with cupping and deep tissue massage, however she has been traveling, and I needed a new place to turn to. Amanda Freeman, recently opened her new business, Stretch’d http://stretchdspace.com, a beautiful, open, airy space dedicated to stretching the body to eliminate aches and pains, and get the body aligned. She has an incredible staff, that know the body well, and you leave feeling loose and relaxed. They use both their hands and machines like the TheraGun to get deep into the achey places. Amanda is no stranger to the wellness world, as she also founded SLT years ago. She’s really onto something, and I know both men and women could benefit from the various treatments at Stretch’d.
How many years have you been in business in NYC?
We have been in business for 5 months.
How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?
I began my career as a trend forecaster studying the consumer behavior of Generation X & Millenials. Twelve years ago, I worked on a trend we called the "Rise of Well-consciousness" and ever since I’ve been a serial wellness entrepreneur. My first wellness endeavor was a healthy living daily e-newsletter called Vital Juice. RIP! We delivered the latest information in fitness, nutrition, beauty and wellness to the inboxes of over 250,000 women. I got so obsessed with boutique fitness that in 2011, I opened my own studios called SLT. Nearly 7 years later, we’re opening our 25th location later this month.
The idea for Stretch*d came from my observations of the fit folks around me who were spending an average of 5 days a week engaged in high impact workouts and suffering from injuries. As a society, we’ve been so focused on working out (and living) to the max, but forgetting about recovery. I had observed in my studios, as well as at others, that clients often skipped out of classes before the stretch at the end. Yet, when these same people worked out one-on-one with a trainer, they relished the last 5 minutes when they’d get stretched out. Thus, Stretch*d was born.
What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?
There are other companies that offer one-on-one assisted stretch services, however I believe we’ve created a best-in-class training program and stretch protocol. I also believe we offer the best customer experience. We’ve created a premium brand and space that goes beyond basic stretch services. Lastly, we also offer in-home and office stretch.
What do you feel gives you longevity in this big city with so many options?
The key to success in NYC is the combination of offering a reliably outstanding service that delivers results, along with creating a brand people want to be a part of.
How do you positively impact your clientele?
We make them feel better, provide them a respite from their daily activities and offer them a better quality of life.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I am driven by offering clients a service that makes them happy and healthy. I love getting positive feedback and hearing the impact it’s making on people’s lives. I hate negative feedback, but am open to learning from it.
What is your favorite secret NYC spot?
Hmm…hard to keep anything great a secret in NYC these days. Souen isn’t a secret, but it’s my fave Macrobiotic eating spot that most people dismiss as too healthy. I could pour their carrot ginger dressing on anything and happily eat it.
How do you benefit mamas?
Stretch*d is an amazing service for a mom. We lug our kids around, tote heavy handbags and juggle so much that are bodies are screaming for relief. Stretch*d is that relief and respite from a busy day. We are also a safe and effective pampering experience for expecting moms.
What is the most memorable feedback a client has given you?
We’ve been getting awesome feedback from both men and women alike. However, most striking are the rave reviews from many of the male clients. Some are fitness-enthusiasts, but many have just been looking for an antidote to the wear and tear of sitting at a desk all day and not feeling like there are many pampering options geared towards men.
Pay it forward and name your top colleagues in the same field or related field.
I love FaceLove for a heavenly face massage and tenoverten for a non-toxic mani/pedi.
What is the best advice anyone's ever given you? Or what is your "mantra" / words to live by?
My mantra is “More, Worse”. It’s a long story, but probably the most valuable thing I can share, so I’m gonna tell it and you can cut or edit as you see fit.
During a class I took at Harvard Business School called Women Building Businesses, I was struck by a common occurrence I saw happen with nearly every female CEO who spoke to our class. They were all incredibly successful in their careers at the expense of their personal lives. When asked about their “work/life balance,” nearly all of them broke down in tears because they had decided to, as one CEO put it, “Do less, better.” They chose focus on one area of their life (their career) and knock it out of the park, and that was always what being a killer CEO of a Fortune 500 company meant.
I was so struck by the regret I saw in these women, that I made the decision to “Do more, worse.” I no longer wanted to be CEO of a giant company if it meant forgoing some of the personal experiences I also wanted to have like having kids, being in a relationship, being a present mom/friend/sister, etc. I would rather have what I like to call “abundant mediocrity”. I am willing to be less than perfect if it means not missing out on the important things in life.
As moms, the day can escape us, what is your best time-saving trick?
I shower at night after my kids are asleep and air dry my hair.
Dance with Miss Katy - Tracy Girls in Training
My girls love to dance, love to perform, but for some reason, every dance class I put them in was unsuccessful. They were always disinterested, never wanting to leave the apartment in the cold, after coming home from school. I would end up paying for an entire semester of ballet, and they showed up to maybe 3 classes. I’m not one to force an activity, so I let it go until I found out that one of my favorite Tracy Anderson trainers started her own dance program downtown. Katy Schuele has been a dancer her whole life, and was also a Knick’s city dancer, which being a big basketball fan, made me love her even more! She is great with children, adores teaching, and found a great dance school to hold her hip hop classes. My girls absolutely love dance class because of Miss Katy, and are always eager to get to class on time. They are learning amazing routines, listening to their favorite tunes, and Katy’s encouragement and endless positivity are infectious. I actually get a little jealous at drop off because I want to stay and dance with them!

Maximizing the longevity of what remains of our fading summer-looking skin can not be done without hydration. Hydration is a key component in holding on to our sun-kissed look and relaxed glow. With change of temperature, environment and routine, our skin quickly changes due to factors such as water, sleep patterns, and local toxins. The skin is largely made up of water, and has its own natural system to maintain hydration levels and protect against external elements, so when we have lifestyle changes, our moisture level drops and so dose our glow!
Clearly, this is no time to skimp on your moisturizers and oils, especially at night when you are getting your beauty rest, and have the most cellular turn over. Our skin works hard all day long, protecting us from environmental and lifestyle stressors. When we sleep, our skin rests too. While our skin is in this rest phase, it becomes more receptive to products, making it the perfect time to pile on extra products that will boost your hydration. Some evenings, I layer so many oils and creams I look drenched! I might not be "Sleeping Beauty" at that moment, but when I’m awoken, by an evil alarm clock (not Prince Charming), and look in the mirror, I’m so pleased that I want to go ahead and give myself a kiss.
In addition to your creams and oils, a fantastic way to make your skin plump and youthful, is adding hydration to the air while you sleep. Using a humidifier will help prevent drying skin dramatically, as it adds water to the air. I HIGHLY recommend the Vitruvi Stone Defusser. While hydrating your environment, it also defuses essential oils throughout your home.
Read moreThe Motherhood Center of NY - Help Is Here!
This feature was a very special find. I always aim to help women and mothers, so when I met with the brilliant Dr. Paige Bellenbaum and Dr. Catherine Birndorf, it was like a dream come true. These two women created The Motherhood Center, a perinatal day program, for postpartum depression, that blew my mind. They offer private counseling, classes (meditation, yoga, art therapy, mindfulness), group sessions for partners, and even have a nursery for the babies of their patients. Each patient has a plan, routine, and schedule that is designed to cater to their personal needs, and support them daily until they feel comfortable and embrace their connection with their baby and community. This center gives women the ability to conquer their anxieties and fears related to motherhood. These incredible doctors “mother the mother,” making sure all of their patients leave feeling like confident, connected and capable parents. Their work, and expertise is remarkable, and I hope that so many women suffering out there, read this, and go get the help they deserve.

Describe yourself in 4 words...
Mother, wife, sister and friend.
What was your initial inspiration for Le Catch?
My friends! They would always compliment my outfits and ask me to buy one of everything that I bought myself, so I essentially created Le Catch to provide that service and curation. I also love to write, and when I was working as Lucky Magazine's West Coast Editor, I had so many ideas up my sleeve, stories and other things to share that simply would not all fit in a 1X per month magazine format, and thought it would be wise to monetize my own content.
What distinguishes your site from others out there?
Le Catch represents me and my singular taste. I'm not beholden to advertising, freeing me up to write about what I truly love. I also believe there are not many experienced fashion editors who are "self-publishing," and I feel that gives me an edge.
How did motherhood help in making the leap from Lucky to Le Catch?
It actually worked the other way around: Le Catch ameliorated, complemented, and supported young motherhood in providing me a creative outlet, a lucrative, do-anywhere, do-anytime business and personal autonomy. It was, and remains one of the best gifts I have made for myself.
Since you are the expert, what are your 5 must-have pieces for Fall/Winter?
An oversized, chunky sweater; white ankle boots, a tweed menswear-inspired blazer; a perfectly-fitting white t-shirt, and a statement coat.
Who are your favorite up and coming designers?
Johanna Ortiz
Doen
Amur
La Double J
Saloni
What is your favorite part of the job? Do you have a team who comes to your home office, or do you work on the site alone?
No doubt, the thrill of the hunt. Finding that online pot of gold everyday and sharing it! I work alone for the most part, but I hit up my husband, a tech entrepreneur, for business-related issues and top editing! (He actually built my initial website! He has multiple talents!)
What is your mantra?
Follow your heart.
What are your favorite activities with your children both in LA and in NYC?
In LA: Biking around our neighborhood, surfing in Malibu, swimming in our pool, and hanging out at the beach. In NYC: walking around the city (kids have skateboards on hand), restaurant-hopping, remote control sailboats in Central Park, miniature golf in Tribeca.
What values do you hope to instill in your children?
I hope that they will always be kind and helpful and to be grateful for what they have.
Hum Nutrition's Hair Sweet Hair
For many many years, the length of my hair has mostly remained on the shorter side. This originated from a festive evening with friends, a seemingly brilliant idea and a household pair of scissors. I remember admiring my new chic look and being so pleased...until the next day. I urgently ran to my favorite salon where I was then granted the look I was going for. Curiously, that was not the last time I made that decision. Schnapsidee (German), an idea that sounds great when you’re drunk. Thankfully I’ve gotten this schnapsidee out of my system, but now I long for mermaid length hair, and have dreams of not needing a bikini top this summer as thick, soft, beach waves hang effortlessly over my chest, covering any non-Saint Tropez spots. This look is not a reality for me, but I didn’t think my hair growing almost 2 inches in six weeks was either!
I have this friend who I regard to such a high level. She is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and chic, impossibly considerate and kind. I tell her all the time that she is my secret weapon of knowledge, knowing if she ever has an answer to one of my many questions, it will in fact be the right answer. So recently, when I was admiring her long locks, as we took a walk, I listened closely when she told me about the vitamins that she took to achieve such a glamorous look. The answer was HUM.
A few years ago, I started to notice that vitamins and supplements were popping up places other than the local nutrition or health store. I didn’t invest much thought into this because I’ve never been a vitamin taker. I’ve wandered into a GNC here and there, I’ve dabbled in a few homeopathic isles, but with the rows of bottles all looking the same, it's just too daunting a task choosing what’s right for me. Even times that I committed to a purchase, it seems that it all ends up in a kitchen cabinet, never to be seen again. Frankly, I’m not entirely clear what a multi-vitamin dose for me, I eat well, take care of my body, and thankfully have no health concerns. I’ve never been advised to take a vitamin or supplement during any conversation with medical or holistic professionals, so I have never gotten into them. But as I set onto my journey to become a mermaid by June, the idea of a hair growth vitamin that comes in a delicious gummy and sold alongside my favorite products is right up my stream.
HUM was a brand that I recognized from beauty shelves and social media, but it wasn’t until I went to stock up for winter that I noticed how many interesting types of vitamins they had, most of which I was totally a candidate for! I decided to stick with what I came for, Hair Sweet Hair, while I looked deeper into HUM.
Hair Sweet Hair is a vegan product formulated with interesting ingredients that have worked wonders in making my hair grown fuller and faster than ever before. Our hair needs key components, like biotin, in order to grow healthy and strong. Weak hair often breaks, leading us to believe it’s not growing. HUMs Hair Sweet Hair also contains a Chinese herb calle fo-ti which assists in hair growth, but also enriches hair pigment, translating into healthier and thicker hair. These combined with things such as B-vitamins, Zinc and Folic Acid to repair and stimulate tissue and cells, whip your hair shape long before summer season.
One can never be certain what kind of schnapsidee their future holds, but luckily HUM's Hair Sweet Hair can fix any that come via scissors late at night. I’m also so excited to try many more of their products like Arctic Repair, Big Chill, Turn Back Time, and well...mostly the entire collection, schnapsidee or no schnapsidee.

Describe yourself in 3 words...
Nice, Quick, and Passionate.
How have your 3 children inspired you in your career?
They have inspired me in so many ways. My oldest son Dylan created the website for the George Hotel that my husband and I just opened, and he is very analytical. My middle son Dakota named the Extra line from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics when he was 8-years-old. He now is the strategic marketing genius. My youngest Duke is the visual one, who has published photos that were used at Yahoo Beauty, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and now my new company Beauty Evolution.
How did you decide to launch your beauty brand? Please share your start-up story...
I never intended to have a big beauty brand. I started as make-up artist with a simple style and philosophy that women should look like themselves. I couldn’t buy any products off the rack that didn’t need to be blended or fixed. I made natural looking lipsticks and they hit a nerve, changing makeup that was popular at the time.
What differentiates you in the beauty business and how do you feel about the new wave of natural, non-toxic beauty?
Since leaving the brand, I have transitioned almost exclusively to non-toxic beauty. There are some great options out there.
You are an author many times over, a beauty editor, and founded your own wildly successful beauty brand, not to mention a Mother of 3. How do you balance all of it? How do you carve out time for yourself and how do you spend that time?
Who said I balanced anything ever? Not possible. My husband is my partner in everything, and has been my mentor and biggest supporter.
Pay it forward and name 3 mentors in your field whom you admire...
Mickey Drexler, Leonard Lauder and Bonnie Maller.
What’s the next step for you in your career? Will you create more beauty brands? Write more books? Go into a new field?
I started a lifestyle brand name Beauty Evolution, which includes a hotel named The George in Montclair, New Jersey, a wellness line named EVOLUTION_18, and I’ve created a editorial website justBobbi.com for all things wellness, beauty, travel and everything in between. I have alas reignited my makeup artist career by going back into the studio. I never say never to anything.
What is your personal beauty regimen?
I am so low maintenance. I color my hair every two weeks, and get a quick blow out for shoots and events. The rest of the time it is ponytails and I have an unmade face with just a bit of concealer and blush. I do get lasers on occasion, which helps to even out my skin. I’m all about eating a healthy diet as I believe beauty starts from the inside out.
What are your favorite family activities to do with your kids in NYC?
Now that they are grown up and all of them foodies, we meet often for dinner and drinks.
What values do you hope to instill in your children?
Goodness, family, hard work, compassion, passion and fun.
These Aroma Therapy Oils Are a Fix For a Stressful Day
Nothing is more fabulous than a New York minute, until the minute after when I realized I got nothing done. We live at such a busy pace, always on the go, trying to get 10 things done at once. Get to meeting across town, taking a sick child to unexpected doctors visit, pick up dry cleaning, plan after school activities, buy birthday presents, get dog groomed, coordinate family dentist visit, meet friend's new baby, put together Halloween costume, shower, be at parents 40th anniversary dinner at 6. And this is just today.
I’m lucky if I get two done and show up to dinner with matching shoes on. When I’m functioning at 100%, and I still can’t get everything done, it really stresses me out, and clearly I don’t always have time for self care. Recently someone casually asked “how’s Candice doing?” Normally I might treat this question as rhetorical answering with a bright-eyed “good,” but instead I paused and thought about what Candice’s day looks like, then answered “she’s superwoman.”
Everyday I watch Candice get more done than I can even remember to write on my todo list, and it seems everyday she takes on more projects. From running Mama & Tata, creating and launching Black Iris, chairing multiple charities, being a full time hands-on mom, an attentive friend to so many, plus her shoes always match! Either Candice has cloned herself, and I’m unknowingly meeting with Candice 2.0, or she too is pushing herself to the limits and can easily stress.
Everyone has their kryptonite, even super Candice, so before we all have to find out what that is, for her, I knew I needed to share with her a product that I use while I’m on the go, go, go. At all times my bag is armed with the Tata Harper aromatherapy oils, Irritability and Stress. These little pocket-sized defense mechanisms come with a roller ball application making them ideal for traveling around, due to the fact that they won’t spill, won’t collect germs by way of dirty hands, and won’t leave you spa level greasy, since you can target small areas with controlled distribution.
The Aromatic Stress Treatment has become a staple, in my designer toolbox, for times when issues or topics are really weighing on my mind. Not being able to get these things out of my head can cause such bad stress and anxiety, I become almost paralyzed getting even less done. This is not helpful to my stress and anxiety level, as you can imagine, and while I’m sure I should seek professional help on this matter, I’ve found that a simple and fast solution to getting out of my own way is through aromatherapy. The Tata Harper Aromatic Stress Treatment has a profound effect on me when I roll it into the palm of my hand and breath it in slowly. The ritual of doing so calms my mind while the combination of oils get to work immediately centering and uplifting me. This feeling of rejuvenation always propels me forward when I’m stuck, due to things out of my control or when the todo list gets so long it becomes two pages, and I don’t know where to begin. It’s somewhat of a reset button to the brain that gets everything going in the right direction again.
The Aromatic Irritability Oil is something I should figure out how to have pumped through my veins. Let’s just say patience is not my virtue. I get annoyed if I wake up before my alarm clock goes off, I hate the cold, I might be allergic to the rain, traffic makes me want to crawl out of my skin, my child messing with her socks every morning makes me go cross-eyed, I hate slow walkers, why does my dog pee so much, I hold my breath on Starbucks lines praying it will move faster, stop asking me to pick my color - I know the drill! I swear I’m a happy person. A very happy person, but an irritabile person. Maybe it’s because I have so much to do and not all of it gets done, then being irritated with myself.
Again, I’ll seek help, but until I have time for that, my therapy of choice is Tata & Harper. The Aromatic Irritability Oil is also most effective rolled on to the palms of you hands with deep inhales for similar calming effects and additionally releases negative thoughts and frustration. My personal prescription for the Irritability Oil includes applying it to all pulse points especially around my neck and shoulders where I might be holding tension. I can’t truly explain the wonders its done for me, but I’m sure anyone who’s ever had to run errands with me for a day can attest to it’s efficiency.
Knowing how the day-to-day of a busy schedule quickly turns to stress and irritability, I sit in awe of Candice. She takes on more than anyone I know, and always has a smile on her face, a kind word to say, or an extra moment for a loved one. Yet still, even the most capable and together humans can benefit from from the Tata Harper Aromatic oils. You never know when you will be face to face with your kryptonite or reach a breaking point, that’s why I had to share this with Candice especially, there are too many amazing things coming from this incredible woman, also there is an above average chance that if she ever looses it, it’s because of me for running habitually late.

Spotlightkids NYC - Lights, Camera, Action...
I have two girls, both equally theatrical, at all times. They both love to sing, dance, and perform at any chance they get. That being said, it’s been particularly difficult getting them involved in an acting program downtown, because up until now, there were essentially no options. I’m excited to announce a new program that recently opened their doors to all downtown mini actors, ready to get on the stage. Its name is very fitting, Spotlight Kids, and the women who created it are both NYC Moms! They are putting on their first performance this semester, Alice in New York, so if you have children who would love participating in this theatrical performance, sign them up.

I’m not sure about you, but my kids bring home piles of artwork everyday from school, and then continue to create more masterpieces at home in their free time. It seemed like their art was all over my apartment, the kitchen, bedrooms, my bedside tables, and on the dining table. Wherever I looked, I saw paper! While they happen to make some really beautiful paintings and drawings, sometimes I get the package of white paper stapled together with a small line sketched on a random corner. You must be able to relate! Some may call it abstract, but I call it clutter. I’ve finally found someone to take all of these beautiful and unusual artworks, and turn them into incredible hardcover scrapbooks to store and document every single piece. It’s called Jack’s Gems, and it’s genius! Jackie customizes as many books as you need to keep all of that art organized and intact. They are the best gifts, and best way to go back through your child’s art archives without a mess.

The sun shining on me and my brother as we run in the grass, perfectly salted, clothed in nothing but our swimsuits and friendship bracelet, eating watermelon. This is how I picture every summer of my childhood. Little did I know then that our sweet refreshing treat was helping to keep us healthy and youthful looking.
We all know how hydrating watermelon is, being that it is made up of over 90% water, but it’s also dense of nutrients that are proven to aid in a number of health concerns. Asthma, cancer and inflammation are on the list of health ailments that the the antioxidants, minerals and vitamins in watermelon can help prevent or treat.

Last week, I was lucky enough to reunite with all of my closest girlfriends at BA&SH Nolita for an evening of shopping and cocktails. Most fertility clinics are more like factories, where you go and sit in a big room staring at a lot of strangers before being seen. At CCRM you get the personalized attention and privacy you want when it comes to struggling with infertility. Their labs are the most high-tech in the country, with innovations that most other clinics do not have. Dr. Knopman and Dr. Talebian discuss all of their patients together as a team, to come up with the most successful plan for each individual.
